One of our latest projects include a detailed garden makeover for one of our clients in Hamble. Following several discussions with the client, we were able to produce the design plan shown below, which includes two patio areas – one at the top of the garden against the house, and another at the bottom of the garden. The lower patio will be covered with a radial pergola. The mid section will become a decorative scree area, surrounded by planted borders to add all year round interest and colour.

What a difference a week can make! Following completion of the paving at the top of the garden, the lower corner pergola and additional patio area were installed, with additional trellis screens linked to both the pergola and archway. Stone setts sourced to match the paving were then laid around the perimeter of the scree area, to separate the pebbles from the planted border. Both the scree area and border planting were implemented prior to top dressing each area, the scree with pebbles and cobbles, and the borders with bark mulch.
