A Formal English garden – Curdridge

One of our current projects is this large formal English garden in Curdridge in the Meon valley. The house was recently built to a very high standard using the finest local materials and the client was keen for the Garden to compliment this. A central courtyard laid in reclaimed cobblestones is bordered by large brick and Flint walls. The bricks were handmade in sussex and the flints are from Hampshire. The Knot garden is reached by passing through a line of Pleached hornbeam trees. The large Potager beds are built using English oak sleepers and each bed has a surround of box hedging. Nearing completion at the rear is a large terrace laid in “Travertine”.
